Hi guys. We have a nice little group of e-com biz owners staying on Koh Phangan at the moment. Great times. Fun and brainstorming / helping each other. Anyone planning to come to KP pls shoot me a dm!

rtiagm

Does Koh Phangan have any travel restrictions?

rtiagm
2021-07-01 07:06
I'm in Bangkok but looking to go somewhere else inside Thailand.

rtiagm
2021-07-01 07:06
Apparently there's some restrictions but it's hard to find information on them.

benjamin
2021-07-01 08:47
@rtiagm Need to get a RT-PCR test within 72hrs of a flight to Koh Samui if coming from Dark Red zone (Bangkok). Otherwise, you'll need to quarantine. 2500-3000baht for the test so better off just doing it and flying in with no restriction.

rtiagm

cool, thanks @benjamin

How is overall the situation in Thailnd? Phuket is supposed to be open today, so I am curious about the Sandbox experiment.

rtiagm
2021-07-02 09:41
More lockdowns. The central government goes back and forth with restrictions. Dining was allowed a few days ago, that's no longer the case at least in Bangkok

felix

Sorry to hear that. Hope they will overcome it soon.

@rtiagm Thai Airways says ?Travellers must arrive in Phuket on a direct flight as domestic transits in Bangkok are currently not permitted.? https://www.thaiairways.com/sites/en_GB/plan/travel_information/travel_requirements.page Is that correct? I have a flight to Bangkok 25th September and hoping I can fly somewhere (e.g. Phuket, or Koh Phangan @frederic.scheffer) that has looser restrictions than Bangkok right now.

benjamin
2021-07-14 13:53
@henry September is a world away. It's impossible to predict what things will be like here in Thailand by then. If you're coming from another country then flying to Phuket directly is the best option right now to skip all quarantine.

frederic.scheffer

Agreed

Anybody here that lives in Phuket? My wife & I are thinking of coming at around September and would appreciate some advice regarding what's going on over there at the moment

Plus, if anybody has some first-hand experience with the hospitals over there, would really appreciate any impressions.

Phuket hospital is very good, my wife did some exam and they were really professional.

Hi guys, Can anyone recommend a good ASQ hotel in Bangkok? I?m looking for something with a decent desk, ergonomic chair, gym access and a balcony for some fresh air. Not sure if the last 2 options will be possible but I did see some hotels that were flexible enough to move a treadmill into the room.

michael

Via the Phuket sand box?

michael
2021-08-19 15:16
It's quiet.... good for holidaying... depending if quiet is what you want.

yaron.been
2021-08-20 05:33
Thank you @michael Yes, we're thinking of coming via the sandbox, looking to chill after spending 6 months in the middle of Tbilisi.

michael
2021-08-20 14:47
Yeah, it's a decent option to chill. Note that Thailand is under restrictions at the moment.... so really depends what type of holiday you are after. As I said, it's quiet in Phuket. So a good place to chill. There is also the Samui Plus program.

Hey Everyone. What is the best visa to get to stay for 7 months? How do the visa runs work? Do you actually have to leave the country?

michael
2021-09-14 03:37
You have to leave the country for visa runs.

michael
2021-09-14 03:37
Thailand Elite is the easiest if you want to pay for it.

michael
2021-09-14 03:37
Right now, under a tourist visa you have to come under the sandboxes.

michael
2021-09-14 03:37
Apparently they will open up by Oct 1.... so let's see
