I'm not sure. The law linked above says "(New, SG 41/01) who is released from his present citizenship or will be released from it by the moment of acquiring Bulgarian citizenship." The wording is very vague, so it would probably require help from an experienced lawyer to determine the likelihood of naturalizing.
