Government keeps flip flopping on rules/curfews, they make them up as they go.
Speaking in relation to Cuidad de Buenos Aires.
A couple months ago you could be out until 12 am, then 1 am, then about a month ago they made it 8pm, meaning all business are closed for sit down service at 8pm but the kitchens stay open later for delivery drivers. You were also supposed to not be on the street after 8pm but if you are on foot or in a taxi you won't get bothered, seems to be only if you are in a private car you might get asked what you are doing.
Then a couple weeks ago they changed it to 6pm and removed sit down service so you could only get take away and then just this last Monday we are back to the 8pm rules. I think there is no inside dining (just on the street) but I could be wrong, it's hard to keep up with it changing all the time.
Right now during the day life is pretty normal, Argentina has been wearing marks for 15 months or so (on the street). Gyms (inside) are closed (for now) but some of them have set up outdoor gyms. Over time people have generally started to care less about what the government rules are. For e.g if the rule is 8pm you are supposed to be home, you will still see people on the street after 8pm (despite nothing being open). I've been catching cabs at 12am, 2am etc without issue. You are not supposed to have "social gatherings" but people do (can hear music coming from peoples apartments).
The government is talking about on again/off again lockdown restrictions (as above) through winter but who knows. Like I said they make it up as they go long. Vaccine rollout is a joke so these made up rules don't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Keep in mind I have been in Argentina for the duration of COVID so I have no other basis for comparison and I may have become accustomed to "COVID life" here.
